Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead all aspects of the HR function. This is a senior, fully remote leadership position requiring a strategic thinker with a passion for people development and organizational growth. You will be responsible for shaping and implementing HR strategies that align with our client's business objectives and foster a positive and productive work environment. The ability to manage a remote team effectively is paramount.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive human resources strategy that supports the company's mission and vision.
  • Oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR compliance.
  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Develop and administer employee relations policies and procedures, fostering a positive and respectful workplace culture.
  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems to drive employee development and performance.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations, staying updated on changes and best practices.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
  • Advise senior management on HR-related issues and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
  • Utilize HRIS and other technology solutions to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CHRP) are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices in Kenya.
  • Strong understanding of talent management, compensation, and employee relations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing and developing HR teams.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR technologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in a remote setting.
  • Experience with organizational development and change management is a plus.
