- Provide technical support to field service technicians, assisting them in resolving complex vehicle issues.
- Stay abreast of the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic standards (e.g., OBD-II, UDS), and industry trends.
- Participate in vehicle testing and validation activities, both remotely and potentially in collaboration with on-site teams when necessary for specific hardware interactions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of diagnostic processes and tools.
- Identify and report bugs and issues, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, ECU software development, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, internal combustion engines, and vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, scan tools).
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++) for diagnostic tool development is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of diagnostic standards such as ISO 14229 (UDS) and SAE J1979/J2012 (OBD-II).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, managing tasks and deadlines independently.
