Our client, a well-established non-profit organization, is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to oversee community development initiatives. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to project sites in and around Malindi, Kilifi, KE . The Program Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring projects aimed at improving livelihoods, education, and health within targeted communities. You will work closely with local stakeholders, community leaders, and partner organizations to ensure project objectives are met effectively and sustainably. Key duties include developing project proposals, managing budgets, leading field teams, and reporting on project progress and impact. Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a strong commitment to social impact and community empowerment.

- Develop, implement, and manage community development programs and projects.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and partner organizations.
- Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
- Prepare regular progress reports and impact assessments for donors and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and program guidelines.
- Lead and mentor project staff and volunteers.
- Facilitate community meetings and workshops.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts and proposal development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within the non-profit or development sector.
- Proven experience in community development, project implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) principles.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote and field setting.
- Experience working with vulnerable communities.
- Passion for social impact and sustainable development.
