Overall Purpose
The Finance Intern will provide support to the finance team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, assisting with reconciliations, filing, and supporting day-to-day finance operations.
Reporting to
Finance & Administration Manager (or designate).
Duration
3 months (with possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs)
Key Responsibilities
1.
Data Entry & Bookkeeping
- Enter financial transactions for year 2025 into the templates provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Update cashbooks and ledgers as directed.

Reconciliations
- Assist in preparing and reconciling the cashbook with bank statements.
- Support in reconciling petty cash records.
3.
Filing & Documentation
- Ensure financial documents (vouchers, receipts, invoices, payment records) are properly filed and easily retrievable.
- Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems.
4.
Financial Reporting Support
- Support monthly finance closing processes.
5.
Administrative Support
- Assist with scanning, photocopying, and archiving financial records.
- Support other administrative duties as may be assigned.
Learning Opportunities
- Exposure to NGO/organizational finance systems.
- Hands-on experience in reconciliations and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Bachelor of Commerce (accounting option), Finance or a related field. CPA II.
- At least 6 months experience in bookkeeping.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Exposure to QuickBooks Online is an added advantage.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and integrity.
