Advanced Networking Expertise
Routing & Core Protocols

• Proficient in OSPF, ISIS, and BGP for scalable and resilient routing architectures
• Experience with first-hop redundancy protocols such as VRRP, HSRP, and GLBP
• Strong understanding of Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) for network segmentation
• Hands-on experience with MPLS technologies including LDP and RSVP for efficient packet forwarding
• Skilled in Traffic Engineering to optimize network performance and resource utilization
• Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) configuration for prioritizing critical traffic
• Capable of designing and implementing complex route policies and redistribution strategies

MPLS & VPN Technologies

• Expertise in MPLS Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs for enterprise connectivity
• Familiarity with Inter-AS VPN solutions (Options B and C) for multi-provider environments
• Knowledge of IPv6 over MPLS using 6PE and 6VPE
• Experience with VPLS and Hierarchical VPLS for multipoint Ethernet services
• Understanding of Next-Generation Multicast VPN (NG-MVPN) for multicast traffic delivery

WAN & Overlay Technologies

• Proven experience deploying and managing SD-WAN solutions to enhance WAN flexibility, performance, and cost-efficiency

High Availability & Network Protection

• Strong grasp of high availability mechanisms including Fast Reroute (FRR), Loop-Free Alternates (LFA), and link/node protection to ensure uninterrupted service

Advanced Multicast

• In-depth knowledge of multicast protocols such as PIM, MSDP, and IGMP for efficient group communication across networks

Hands-on Experience With Major Networking Platforms

• Cisco (preferred)
• Fortinet
• Juniper
• Nokia (strong advantage)

Security Expertise
Firewall & Threat Prevention

• Experience with traditional firewalls and next-generation solutions (IPS/IDS/NGFW)
• Skilled in configuring and managing IPSec VPNs including DMVPN, GET VPN, and FlexVPN
• Familiarity with Remote Access VPNs using AnyConnect and FortiClient

Threat Mitigation & Traffic Control

• Knowledge of BGP-based security techniques such as Remote Triggered Black Hole (RTBH) and Flowspec
• Experience with web proxies, URL filtering, and NAT for secure and controlled internet access
• Ability to analyze security logs and NetFlow data for threat detection and performance monitoring
• Competence in correlating and responding to security incidents in real-time

Identity & Access Control

• Proficiency in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for centralized access control
• Experience with 802.1X authentication and TrustSec for secure network access
• Familiarity with MACsec for Layer 2 encryption
• Understanding of virtual security contexts (VDOMs) for multi-tenant environments
• Implementation of multi-factor authentication using DUO 2FA

This is you

• 7+ years in enterprise software development or engineering with 7 years of experience in an application security-focused role is required
• In-depth knowledge of web application security and secure coding practices. Basic knowledge of network security, cloud security and cryptography
• Experience with at least one JVM language (e.g. Java) and one more programming language (e.g. JavaScript, nodeJS, Python) as well as related frameworks such as Spring or J2EE
• Experience in mobile application development or security.
• Understanding of web, mobile and cloud applications and architectures, relational and non-relational databases, and containerization
• Experience with at least one DAST, SAST and SCA security scanning tools configuration or automation
• Experience with security reports reviews produced by security scanning tools.
• Knowledge of application security frameworks such as OWASP, ASVS
• Knowledge of Unix based OS or/and scripting (e.g. Bash, Shell)
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to lead online meetings
• Organize and prioritize work effectively, able to adjust in a changing environment
• A desire to learn new skills and develop your existing skillset
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a positive/professional manner
• Enjoy working collaboratively
• Mentoring and coaching of junior members of the team

Nice To Have

• Experience with any of Checkmarx products or GitHub automation
• Experience leading triaging calls and process
• Good experience with DAST or API scanning tooling and automation
• Any threat modelling skills
• Some knowledge of AWS would be a plus, but is not required
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Assets
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent (BSc or higher)

The Security team which sits within the Information Security Department is seeking to hire a Cloud Security Engineer. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build, and implement various company-wide security controls and technologies. Working closely with key business stakeholders (Engineering, Platform, Infrastructure) and members of the Security team. This hands-on technical role will be working on a range of security projects and activities. You will be directly influencing the security posture of many projects across the company to ensure that security plays a key part in everything we do.
