Job Description

full_time
We are looking for Sales Executives to join our Sales Team as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

Field sales experience. Team leadership instincts. A market ready to grow.
M-KOPA has reached 7 million customers across Africa, unlocking $2 billion in credit for people the traditional financial system has overlooked. 86% of those customers report an improved quality of life. The products—smartphones, e-motorbikes—aren't just purchases. They change what's economically possible for the people who access them.
That reach is built by people on the ground, including Sales Executives.

What the role involves

This is a player-coach position with two equally weighted mandates.

On the personal sales side: building a strong local network across the area, identifying growth opportunities, and consistently meeting and exceeding individual sales targets—with every customer interaction reflecting the trust M-KOPA has earned as a brand.

On the team leadership side: recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing a field team of Direct Sales Representatives, monitoring their performance, and building their capability to exceed targets over time. The team's results are a direct measure of the quality of leadership they receive.

The role also covers local marketing campaign monitoring, DSR inventory management, audit compliance, and the reporting that shapes how M-KOPA's sales strategy develops in the market.

What we're looking for

Proven track record in field sales, with demonstrable experience in FinTech, Microfinance, Telecommunications, FMCG, or a related sector and a clear record of exceeding individual targets.

Job Description

We are looking for a Telesales Representative - Outbound to join our Customer Retention team and drive sales growth by connecting existing customers with M-KOPA's life-changing products.
This role offers the opportunity to be more than just a salesperson—you'll be the voice that introduces customers to opportunities they didn't know were possible. Every call you make connects an existing M-KOPA customer to products that could transform their life—a smartphone that opens up digital opportunities, a solar system that brings reliable light to their home, or a cash loan that helps their business grow. You'll achieve sales targets not through pressure, but through genuine connection and understanding. Working with a passionate Customer Retention team, your success directly supports our mission of making essential products and services accessible to underserved communities across Africa.
About Us
We believe in empowering customers through affordable and accessible financial solutions. Our team values meaningful connections over transactional calls, customer loyalty over one-time sales, and sales techniques that genuinely help rather than manipulate. You'll develop deep product knowledge that allows you to match customer needs with real solutions, working in a dynamic environment where your empathy, communication skills, and sales excellence directly contribute to financial inclusion and innovation.
At M-KOPA, our Telesales Outbound team isn't just making sales calls—we're building relationships that last, introducing products that upgrade lives, and driving the repeat business that proves we deliver on our promises.
Why This Role Matters:
Most outbound sales jobs feel like you're bothering people. This one feels like you're helping them. You're calling existing M-KOPA customers—people who already trust the brand, who've already experienced our products, and who are genuinely interested in what else we can offer. You're not cold calling strangers about products they don.

Job Description

full_time
We are looking for a Regional Manager to join our Sales group, as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.
You've optimised sales operations. Now build the ones that give people financial access for the first time.
M-KOPA is a pan-African consumer fintech with more than 7 million customers, $2 billion in credit unlocked, and 86% of customers reporting a meaningful improvement in their quality of life. Fifty-five percent of those customers are accessing a financial product for the very first time. That reach is built from the ground up — through field sales operations led by people who take execution seriously.
We're growing towards 10 million customers, and we're building the regional leadership layer that will carry us there.
The role
As Regional Manager, you'll own the full sales operation across an assigned region — a multi-layered structure of Deputy Regional Managers, field teams, and over 35,000 agents operating across seven markets. This is a decision-making role with genuine authority: over resource allocation, territory planning, performance management, and market expansion strategy.
You'll report to the Head of Sales and operate with the kind of proximity to business strategy that makes this different from managing a region at a more traditional organisation. The targets you're accountable to are stretching. The impact when you hit them is tangible.
What you'll own
Regional sales performance — tracking KPIs, diagnosing gaps, and executing corrective plans before performance drift becomes a trend.
Team capability — coaching and developing Deputy Regional Managers and field teams, with a culture of accountability that runs through every level of the structure.
Operational discipline — ensuring field teams are trained, compliant with M-KOPA onboarding standards, and consistently executing at the required quality level.
What we're looking for
Proven track record in field sales management or commercial operations within finan.

Job Description

full_time
We are looking for a Safeguarding Lead to join our Impact team; as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets. Role Overview
Safeguarding roles in Uganda are almost exclusively found inside NGOs and humanitarian programmes; protecting beneficiaries in crisis settings, reporting into protection clusters. This is not that. You'll be building and owning M-KOPA's internal safeguarding function inside a fast-scaling private sector company, covering a genuinely diverse workforce across commercial operations. You'll have the mandate to design prevention measures, lead cultural change, manage internal communications on safeguarding, and own the full incident lifecycle from first response through to resolution and closure. The seniority is real. So is the complexity.
About Us
M-KOPA is one of Africa's fastest-growing fintechs — 7 million customers served, $2 billion in credit extended, and 86% of customers reporting a meaningfully improved quality of life. Behind those numbers are 2,300+ employees and 35,000 field agents working across Uganda and four other markets. We believe every single one of them — at HQ, in the field, in our retail shops, in our warehouses, on the phones — has the right to a safe, respectful, and dignified work environment. We're building the function to make that real. This is that role.
This is an on-site role, you would be working from our offices in Uganda, partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa.
What You'll Do
Build awareness across all operations so that every employee from HQ staff to field sales agents across Uganda understands our safeguarding policies, knows their rights, their obligations, and exactly how to report and ask for help; attend and monitor reporting channels to ensure no incident goes unheard or unacted upon.
Design and implement preventive measures, deliver training that genuinely shifts behaviours, champion a safegua.
