Job Description
ROLE
Senior Manager – T&C is in charge to manage the testing and commissioning activities for the allocated projects. He/ She is in charge to elaborate the testing strategy and methodology, oversee the progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner, the site safety during testing, implementation and scheduling of the T&C activities in the project.
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee, manage and direct the T&C activities in a safe and efficient way from the beginning to the end.
- To review and monitor the T&C activity in depth, ensure schedule of all deliverables, budget, planning and cost estimating.
- To write the T&C processes and prepare the site activities, identifying the risks and issues.
- To ensure that Quality process, and safety requirements are known and enforced within the team and sub-contractors.
- To train and give feedback to T&C team and sub-contractors - To report the progress and the risks to the project management, and prepare internal and external reports pertaining to the job status.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
BE / B Tech in Electrical or Mechanical with 9 – 11 years of experience in T&C.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook at Intermediate level.
- He / She should be disciplined.
- Good written and oral English
Job Description
Manage and control multiple projects.
Train, uplift and develop skills of team members in areas such as – estimation, planning, procurement, execution etc.
Responsible for guiding Manager - Projects at site and addressing their needs.
Recording and managing project issues at the regional level. Ensuring less/no issues are escalated to Head office.
Managing and controlling project deliverables in line with the project plan which include project schedule, coordinating timely delivery of materials, execution and costing of the overall project.
Monitoring project progress and performance.
Represent the company during weekly site review meetings, if necessary.
Working closely with team to ensure the project meets business needs.
Liaises with, and updates progress to management.
He is also responsible for career and personal growth of all the colleagues working under him. He needs to highlight area of improvement in all his resources and assign specific goals to specific resource during QPDR/APDR in a manner that helps each individual to enhance his capabilities and aligns with company's long-term Vision.
Adherence to all the processes of Operations department - installations, testing & billing.
Review project in deep with respect to costs (GRPO + Labour vs billing), time and deliverables.
To cross verify variation statement, NT items, Design Changes, Price escalation if any.
Review and give approval all the PR's that are generated from site, keeping in mind that material is received in adequate quantity and time for smooth progress of works.
Acts and coordinating bridge between company & various project stakeholders like architect, consultant & PMC in approving of drawings, submittals, bills, etc.
Foresee design/ coordination issues that may hamper work progress and assists Manager-Projects in its resolution.
Co-ordinate with design team to get as-built drawings on time.
Responsible for generating & answering all the emails related to
Unresolved coordination issues & dependencies that is potentially hampering work schedule,
Timely measurement & QC checklists certifications etc.
Responsible for customer feedback form, appreciation letter from PMC/Client and snapshot of project.
Act as a support BD, Estimation team during bid of projects.
He is responsible for sales support to BD team from existing clients/PMC.
Ensure following from Manager-Projects: -
Monitoring progress of project with respect to time, Quality, and cost.
Design aspects of capital goods like Panels, Busduct, Light fixtures and LMS matches with site requirements before PO is raised.
Timely invoices and its certification so that cash flow in all the projects assigned to him remains smooth.
Wastage of material during execution of work – Zero or material.
Act as a bridge between our vendors and finance team for timely payment.
One bill a month is a must and follow up with Client till the payment is received.
Certification of contractor bills and projects reconciliation by down the team members.
Conducting review meeting with the team members allocated for the project and office team (Procurement, Planning, Design and billing).
