Job Summary
Responsible for managing the credit and collections process, ensuring timely and efficient collection of receivables, and minimizing financial risk associated with patient accounts. The role involves working closely with patients, insurance companies, and internal departments to ensure accurate billing and prompt payment.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Assessment and Approval:
Assess the creditworthiness of patients and third-party payers
Establish credit terms for patients based on hospital policies and patient financial information
Accounts Receivable Management:
Monitor patient accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances
- Conduct regular reviews of overdue accounts and take appropriate actions to recover outstanding debts
Prepare and distribute monthly aging reports to the finance manager and relevant departments
Patient Billing and Collection:
Ensure accurate and timely billing of patient accounts
- Follow up with patients and insurance companies on unpaid or disputed bills
Provide clear communication to patients regarding their financial obligations and available payment options
Insurance Claims Management:
Work with insurance companies to resolve denied or delayed claims
- Ensure proper documentation and submission of claims to maximize reimbursement
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and appeals
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on credit and collection activities
- Analyze trends and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all credit and collection activities
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to healthcare billing and collections
- Identify and mitigate potential credit risks to the hospital
Collaborate with the finance team to manage bad debt provisions and write-offs
Customer Service and Relationship Management:
Maintain regular contact with patients to ensure timely payments and resolve any issues related to billing and collections
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and other third-party payers
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families regarding their financial obligations
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance claim processes
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Summary
Jacaranda Maternity is seeking an experienced IT Manager who will both work with our current tech stack and prepare and execute the transformation of current systems into more robust, long lasting, flexible systems in the coming 18-24 months. This person will be our organization's "go-to" individual for both technical implementation and also ideation, innovation, testing, development and roll-outs.

Technical Skills
- 4+ years experience with PHP: Given the reliance on PHP 5.6, in-depth knowledge of PHP, including experience with upgrading and securing PHP applications, is crucial

Experience with MySQL user account management and log analysis tools is essential. Duties And Responsibilities
- Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to a pool of sonography staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient departmental operations;
- Regular Performance Audits: Conduct routine audits of sonographers' technical skills, reporting accuracy and adherence to protocols, providing structured feedback and identifying areas for improvement;

Client Observation & Presence
- Maintain visible, approachable presence in OPD waiting areas;
- Be aware-based on information from reception and client themselves, of what people are waiting for, if they are in a hurry, if they are new, etc;
- Monitor client flow and identify signs of discomfort/ unhappiness;
Client Engagement
- Greet all clients warmly and introduce self as their point of contact;
- Offer clear, polite explanations of wait times, next steps, etc;
- Reiterate key information as needed (packages prices, cost of care, timings of clinics etc);
- Answer basic questions, however escalate to appropriate staff when unsure;
Enhance the Client Experience
- Proactively check in with waiting clients every 15–20 minutes;
- Identify and assist clients who appear lost, anxious, or underserved;
- Advocate for clients needing special attention (e.g., elderly, disabled, postpartum);
- Ensure signage, queue systems, and instructions are visible and understood;
- Follow up with referred clients from the facility to another facility;
- Assist in making EDD calls;
- Issue inpatient feedback forms in the morning;
- Issue outpatient feedback forms and encourage clients to scan QR codes;
- Give hospital tours to clients;
- Liaise with the Manager and the inpatient team to follow up with Clients who have had emotional experiences like miscarriages, still births etc and forward for VIP management and counseling;
Environment & Comfort
- Monitor cleanliness and seating availability in waiting areas;
- Highlight any infrastructural facility issues (broken or non working items);
- Offer water or comfort items (if available) to clients in extended wait;
Reporting & Feedback
- Log daily observations and client concerns in designated format;
- Flag recurring issues or bottlenecks;
- Any other assigned duty
