Role
Build a social engine that turns
attention into action
: create content people save/share, community management, and convert traffic to WhatsApp/D2C—while protecting the brand and measuring ROI like a pro.
What You'll Do
1) Strategy & Channel Ownership
- Own the
Instagram strategy
end-to-end (Reels, Stories, Lives, carousels) and extend winning formats to
TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp Status
.
- Build a monthly
content calendar
with clear pillars (product, lifestyle, education, UGC, retail moments, events) and weekly posting cadence.
- Align content with commercial priorities: flavor launches, promos, retail displays, and sampling roadshows (tie content to conversion goals).
- Maintain a consistent, youth-savvy brand voice that's witty, responsible, and on-trend.
2) Community Management & Social Care
- Respond to comments/DMs within SLA; escalate CX issues; keep the tone human and helpful.
- Run
polls, Q&As, quizzes
to keep the community active; turn insights into content ideas.
- Create and manage social channels like instagram & whatsapp
3) Performance, Growth & Social Commerce
- Drive traffic to
WhatsApp/ManyChat flows
and D2C pages (link-in-bio journeys, UTM tracking).
- Partner on
boosting/paid social
to test hooks/offers/creatives; iterate weekly based on data.
- Optimize
search & discoverability
: hashtags, sounds, metadata, and trend timing.
4) Analytics & Reporting
- Ship a
weekly dashboard
: Reach, ER (saves/shares), views, watch-through, clicks, CVR, CAC (assisted), code usage, UGC volume, creator ROI.
- Run structured
A/B tests
on hooks, formats, captions, and offers; document learnings.
5) Cross-Functional Collab
- Support
retail & e-grocery
with social media posts, and A+ copy.
- Coordinate with Sales/Trade Marketing on
in-store moments
(displays, chillers, end-caps) and capture them for social proof.
- Align with Events on content capture plans and on-site CTAs (QR to WhatsApp).
Must-Have
- 3–5+ years
running brand social for consumer products (beverage/CPG or lifestyle preferred). - Proven
Instagram/Reels
results (portfolio with links): consistent reach growth, high save/share rates, and click-throughs to store/WhatsApp. - Strong
short-form video craft
: ideation → scripting → shooting → editing (CapCut or Adobe) → publishing. - UGC/creator program
experience: sourcing, briefing, incentive structures, rights/whitelisting, and performance tracking. - Data-driven
: comfortable with IG Insights/Meta, GA4, UTMs; can explain CVR, CAC, ROMI, retention. - Copy & voice
: can write witty, youth-savvy, Kenya-fluent captions (English/Swahili/Sheng) and strong hooks/CTAs. - Execution speed
: can ship reactive trend content <24h; event recap within 24–48h. - Collaboration
: experience aligning with sales/events/trade marketing calendars. - Governance
: knows platform policies, brand safety, and "no medical claims" discipline.
Nice-to-Have
- WhatsApp/ManyChat automation basics (flows, broadcasts, tags).
- Basic paid social (boosting, simple A/B tests) and landing-page tooling.
- E-grocery/retail content (A+ pages, ratings/reviews).
- Photography/lighting basics; Canva/Adobe design skills.
- Experience managing creator rosters and small budgets.
Behavioral Markers
- Bias for action, organized, comfortable with weekends/evenings for events.
- Clear communicator, coachable, owns outcomes (not just posts).
- Brings 2–3 content "franchises" ideas to every discussion.
