Job Overview
Responsible primarily for completing the working papers and assisting the onshore team of client's tax compliance reports.
The Senior Tax Accountant is also responsible for handling fundamental and core aspects of clients' tax compliance and may assist with advanced tasks provided by the Accounting Manager or Service Delivery Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Preparation and lodgement of individual income tax returns
- Preparation and lodgement of business activity statements
- Preparation and lodgement of installment activity statements
- Preparation and lodgement of fringe benefits tax returns
- Bookkeeping in client accounting files including Xero, MYOB and occasionally Quickbooks
- Payroll processing in client accounting files including Xero and MYOB
- Uploading invoice payments for clients
- Processing quarterly superannuation payments
- Preparation of monthly management reports (i.e., P&L and balance sheet) for clients from their accounting platforms Ad hoc tasks
- Accounting for Division 7a loans
- Tax planning
- Trust distribution minutes
- Reviewing work prepared by junior accountants including individual tax returns, BAS's, IAS's, payroll etc. as needed
- Any task deemed necessary by the Account Manager involving client management
- Perform training in downtime to improve own skills and share knowledge with team
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for businesses operating through companies and trusts, including groups with inter-entity transactions.
Qualifications
Education
- Should be a graduate of Finance and or Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) OR Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred
Product Knowledge
- Complete knowledge of client accounts and businesses
- At least 4-5 years of experience in Australian accounting or taxation
- Knowledge with Australian Taxation and Compliance is preferred
- General Accounting experience with solid background is preferred
- Must have experience in Individual, Partnership, Trust, and Company Compliance
- SMSF compliance knowledge is preferred, but optional
System and Application Knowledge
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiar with accounting tools such as Xero, MYOB
- Ability to learn new systems and tools as needed
Quality
- Works within the Hammerjack and Client quality guidelines
- Ensures quality of work being delivered without being supervised
Communications Skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
Efficiency
- Works within allotted budget hours for jobs assigned
- Ensures all deliverables are fulfilled on a timely manner

Job Overview
The US Accountant will be responsible for the management and reporting of the financial data of an organization. Their main duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing the company's accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze data related to tax returns, financial reports and accounting records.
- Check financial records to make sure that businesses are running efficiently.
- Reconcile bank accounts, oversee tax filing and coordinate annual audits.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Collect, track, and correct the company's finances.
- Ensure all financial records and statements are in line with laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Document business financial transactions over time.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a US Accounting or in US accounting for at least 4 years.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with relevant accounting software.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Internal Filing System: Maintain and update client records; organize digital files for easy retrieval and compliance.
- Document Management: Save invoices and related documents into the Document Management System in accordance with company protocols.
- Email Management: Manage incoming and outgoing communications to ensure timely responses and proper documentation.
- Pre-Renewal Coordination: Allocate renewal tasks and issue pre-renewal templates, emails, and schedules.
- Renewal Processing: Obtain renewal terms highlighting changes and claims history.
- Quoting: Source comparative quotes using current client data and claim history.
- Debtor Management: Retrieve debtor reports and send statement reminders.
- Claims Tracking: Monitor and manage claims within the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of AU Insurance experience
- Experience in using INSIGHT, WinBEAT, Office tech or any related platforms.
- Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to follow process and work independently.

What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
- CA or CPA qualified
- Experience in a commercial accounting or business analyst role
- Very strong time management & English communication skills
- Analytical, problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail
- High-level in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, report building and manage formulas, format and data validation functions)
- Experience processing journals, variance investigation, adjustments and reconciliation of GL accounts.
- A team player with energy and initiative, able to work cohesively under pressure to meet reporting timelines
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Experience with IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition) and IFRS 16 (Lease)
- Experience with SAP BPC reporting tool
Key Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Process month-end journals, including review of allocated general ledger accounts/ business areas and posting of relevant accruals, prepayments, and inventory adjustments as required
- Delivery within reporting timelines and providing variance analysis on actual vs budget (on job training is provided by AUS Senior Analyst)
- Ensure the integrity of information entered the general ledger in accordance with finance policies and procedures
- Maintain and reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Effective stakeholder engagement - work with business partners or senior analyst to understand drivers behind results whilst providing exceptional support and customer service as required
- Assist Senior Analyst with the preparation of audit workpapers and reconciliations that meet group external audit requirements
- Maintain a strong understanding of consolidated group reporting model associated accounting system Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, and support other departments on financial aspects of queries
- Preparation of ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
- Identify improvements in the accounting and reporting of transactions, reducing time to complete

The assistant accountant will be involved in a mix of financial accounting and management accounting duties. You will ensure the accurate and timely recording of general ledger (GL) data, accounts payable (AP), Accounts Payable (AP) processing, and month-end reporting. You will have the opportunity to participate in a number of exciting projects within a small and supportive team environment, led by finance leaders who are passionate about training and mentoring.
Duties And Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
- Work with other team members to ensure that all relevant broker-related issues are resolved in an efficient and effective manner
- Monitor contact points and ensure all accounts-related queries are responded to in an appropriate manner; with strong customer service ethic
- Accounts payable, receivable, and expense processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Accruals/prepayments
- End-of-month (EOM) journals and reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or anything related
- Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant; basic accounting standard knowledge
- Knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax, and compliance
- Experience in Xero Accounting System
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in AU accounting/bookkeeping firms is advantageous.
