Job Summary
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions. This role provides strategic financial guidance to leadership, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and supports decision-making to drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to support business decisions.
- Monitor key financial metrics, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations.
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
- Optimize capital structure and funding strategies.
- Oversee banking relationships and treasury operations.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Maintain tax compliance and manage relationships with tax authorities.
- Business Partnering & Leadership:
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
- Provide financial insights to support operational efficiency and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
- Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA) required.
- 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen with strategic and analytical thinking.
