About Us
We are a leading software house with offices in London, UK, and Nairobi, Kenya, dedicated to a powerful mission: empowering restaurants to thrive in the digital age. We provide an all-in-one solution designed specifically for the hospitality industry, but our work is about more than just technology. We believe in building honest partnerships, educating our clients on the path to success, and sharing a clear vision for the future of dining. We are now seeking a passionate and driven individual to join us as a Sales and Public Relations Intern, becoming a key voice for our mission.
The Role
This is a unique 3-month internship with a clear path to a long-term position for the right candidate. As a Sales and Public Relations Intern, you will be the face and voice of our company. Your role will go beyond traditional sales; you will be an advocate, an educator, and a relationship-builder. You will be instrumental in connecting with restaurant owners, understanding their challenges, and communicating how our vision and solutions can help them succeed. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional public relations skills, a strategic vision, and a deep-seated commitment to honesty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Relationships: Identify and engage with prospective restaurant partners, building genuine connections based on trust and a shared vision for their growth.
- Articulate Our Mission: Clearly communicate our company's mission and values, acting as a trusted advisor and educator on the benefits of digitalisation for the restaurant industry.
- Be Our Ambassador: Represent our brand with professionalism and integrity at industry events, meetings, and in all communications.
- Develop PR Strategies: Assist in developing and executing PR strategies to increase our visibility and establish our company as a thought leader in the restaurant-tech space.
- Nurture Leads: Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, guiding them through the initial stages of our sales process with clarity and honesty.
- Gather Market Insights: Listen to the needs of the restaurant community and provide valuable feedback to our product and marketing teams to ensure we are always meeting their needs.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with our marketing and senior leadership teams to ensure a consistent and powerful brand message across all channels.
Who You Are:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A person of high integrity and honesty, with a genuine passion for helping small businesses succeed, especially within the restaurant industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public relations skills; you can build rapport with anyone.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and articulate a compelling vision.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with the Kenyan business landscape, particularly the hospitality sector, is a significant plus.
Why Join Us:
- A Clear Career Path: This internship is designed to convert into a long-term role after three months based on performance.
- Make a Real Impact: Play a crucial role in the digital transformation of the restaurant industry and contribute directly to the success of local businesses.
- Mentorship: Receive direct guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals in sales, PR, and business strategy.
- A Mission-Driven Culture: Join a dynamic and collaborative team that is passionate about its vision and values.
How to Apply:
If you are eager to build a career in sales and PR and are inspired by our mission to empower restaurants, we would love to hear from you. Please send your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you are passionate about our mission and how your skills align with our values of honesty, vision, and education.
