About the Job

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Head of Agriculture
to lead all agricultural operations across ASML's nucleus estate and outgrower schemes. Reporting directly to the
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
, the Head of Agriculture is a core leadership role responsible for driving sustainable sugarcane cultivation that aligns with the company's production goals and farmer empowerment mission.

Workshop Departments
, ensuring strategic coordination, productivity, and compliance throughout ASML's agricultural ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Outgrower Network Expansion:
    Lead recruitment, contracting, and training of outgrowers. Ensure timely delivery of seed cane and field support services that drive productivity and loyalty among contracted farmers.
  • Nucleus Farm Management:
    Oversee land preparation, planting, irrigation, crop rotation, fertilization, and pest management across ASML's nucleus cane estate to maximize yields and set quality benchmarks.
  • Cane Census Leadership:
    Conduct timely and accurate census operations to gather data on cane age, acreage, maturity, and forecast yields for informed harvesting and factory planning.
  • Harvesting & Transport Oversight:
    Coordinate harvesting schedules and transport logistics to ensure minimal field-to-mill delays, reduce cane deterioration, and support uninterrupted mill operations.
  • Agronomic Planning & Execution:
    Develop and implement best-in-class agronomic practices for soil management, varietal selection, weed and pest control, and nutrient optimization.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Build systems for field-level inspections and digital monitoring to track crop health, farmer compliance, and yield projections.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination:
    Collaborate with the Cane Transport, Workshop, and Sustainability teams to optimize machinery usage, ensure environmental compliance, and support ASML's social impact initiatives.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify and mitigate agronomic, environmental, and operational risks—such as climate variability, pest outbreaks, and non-compliance with farming guidelines.
  • Flexibility for Additional Projects:
    Participate in cross-functional projects or assignments as needed to support ASML's evolving strategic and operational priorities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing large-scale agricultural programs, preferably in sugarcane.
  • Proven success managing outgrower networks and nucleus farms.
  • In-depth knowledge of agro-climatic conditions relevant to sugarcane cultivation in East Africa.
  • Strong capabilities in cane census execution, harvest planning, and logistical coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and data analysis skills.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Economics.
  • Experience working with rural communities and building inclusive farmer engagement programs.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like
    Synergy Bravo
    and field-data collection technologies.

ASML is building a first-of-its-kind digital ecosystem for sugarcane production in Kenya. We are seeking a
Head of Digital Strategy
to lead the planning and implementation of digital systems that improve how we work—from outgrower management and cane census to harvest coordination and field operations.

This role calls for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, is comfortable working with ambiguity, and has the leadership skills to
form and manage a young, diverse, and multidisciplinary team
. You'll work across departments to introduce digital tools that streamline workflows, increase accountability, and support scalable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Field Systems Leadership:
    Design and implement digital workflows for cane development, harvesting, and transport—prioritizing tools that work in rural, field-based environments.
  • Team Formation & Management:
    Recruit, train, and lead a capable digital operations team made up of young professionals with diverse backgrounds. Provide structure, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Cane Data Systems:
    Develop systems for cane census, yield forecasting, and field mapping using GIS, mobile data tools, and dashboards—ensuring information is accurate and actionable.
  • Farmer Engagement Platforms:
    Deploy mobile-friendly platforms for outgrower registration, training, and communications—building accountability and transparency.
  • Harvest & Transport Optimization:
    Build and manage digital solutions for scheduling and tracking harvests and cane deliveries in real-time.
  • Technology Implementation:
    Select and roll out practical digital tools (e.g., mobile apps, GPS systems, offline-first platforms) and ensure smooth integration with existing systems like

  • Cross-Functional Execution:
    Work closely with Cane, Operations, Workshop, and Sustainability teams to align technology solutions with operational needs.

Qualifications

About the Job

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and build the financial backbone of our growing agribusiness. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will report directly to the CEO and will oversee the Finance & Administration Department, including Accounts, Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Human Resources. The CFO will also play a critical support role across the Operations, Cane, and Sustainability departments, providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring sound financial governance across the company.

Responsibilities



Strategic Financial Leadership
: Establish and manage robust financial systems, internal controls, and reporting structures aligned with the company's growth trajectory and operational complexity.



Budgeting & Forecasting
: Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across departments, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities and operational needs.



Regulatory & Tax Compliance
: Ensure full compliance with Kenyan tax laws, labor laws, financial regulations, and statutory obligations.



ERP and Systems Oversight
: Lead the migration and implementation of ERP systems (Synergy Bravo), ensuring accurate integration of financial, procurement, and warehousing data.



Liquidity and Risk Management
: Manage company liquidity and financial risk, including credit lines, cash flow, and investment strategies.



Outgrower Payment Systems
: Design and manage transparent accounting and mobile payment systems (e.g., M-Pesa integration) for timely, accurate payment to 20,000+ contracted farmers.



Departmental Financial Oversight
: Provide oversight and financial guidance for Supply Chain, Warehousing, and HR, ensuring financial integrity across procurement, inventory, payroll, and employee compensation processes.



Leadership Reporting
: Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and insights to the CEO and Board of Directors to support strategic decision-making.



Governance and Integrity
: Establish strong accountability frameworks, uphold audit readiness, and align with best practices in governance, ethics, and integrity.



Cross-Departmental Collaboration
: Actively support the Cane, Operations, and Sustainability departments through financial analysis, capital planning, and compliance monitoring.



Other Projects
: Participate in additional strategic projects as required by the CEO or Board.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.


• 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management, including senior leadership roles.


• CPA-K, ACCA, or CFA qualification (mandatory).


• Proven experience with ERP and financial management systems.


• Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, cash flow, and reporting in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.


• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Prior experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
