JOB ADVERT: Research Intern
Phase One Associates is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Intern to support br>the firm’s business development efforts through in-depth market and product research. The < r>ideal candidate will be analytical, curious, and able to present findings in a clear and
organized manner to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market & Product Research
o Conduct commercial research on relevant products and services within the
firm's sectors of interest.
o Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to inform
business positioning.
2. Business Opportunity Identification
o Explore and analyze potential areas for business growth across both public and
private sectors.
o Evaluate market data to uncover gaps, emerging needs, and potential service
opportunities.
3. Institutional Research Support
o Investigate mandates and strategic priorities of key institutions relevant to the
firm’s work. < r>o Provide research support for targeted outreach and engagement with
institutional stakeholders.
4. Data Organization & Presentation
o Compile research findings into clear, structured formats including summaries,
charts, reports, and dashboards.
o Present insights in internal meetings to support strategic planning and decision
making.
5. Documentation & Reporting
o Assist in the development of internal reports, proposals, briefing notes, and
pitch materials based on research insights.
o Ensure proper organization and storage of research data and related
documentation.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
o Work closely with business development and operations teams to align research
outputs with current initiatives.
o Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to knowledge-sharing
efforts
Qualifications & Experience
o Recent graduate in Business, Economics, Research, or a related field.
o Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
o Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently

Maintain all laboratory equipment in good working condition.
Timely and accurate billing of laboratory services. br>Do daily/spot stock counts of lab supplies and report shortages to the Lab Superintendent.
Proper storage of lab supplies.
Prevent, detect and report any fraud or criminal activity
Follow laid down Lab Board approved rules for the medical lab profession and adhere to Government and respective professional standards of care and treatment of patients.
Timely response to emergencies,Carry out tests based on outlined SOPs & policies.
Record all sentinel incidents/events and report to the Laboratory Superintendent within 24 hours using the provided tools.
Record laboratory fridge temperature and ambient temperature and humidity twice daily and report any error to the Laboratory Superintendent.
Escalate any issue pertaining quality to the Laboratory Superintendent.
Maintain infection control standards when carrying out lab tests,Observe proper disposal of medical waste
Equipment and other laboratory surfaces are properly disinfected with the right disinfectants
Observe and practice high quality of service through effective communication, prompt feedback and escalation of any unresolved issues to the Laboratory Superintendent.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
Diploma in medical Laboratory science or any other related discipline. A degree in medical laboratory science is desirable.
A valid practicing license from medical laboratory technicians and technologist board in Kenya
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.

- Record all data in Salesforce
- Record and update all spreadsheets
