Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Storm Designer located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Storm Designer will be responsible for designing comprehensive stormwater management solutions, including the analysis and design of stormwater conveyance systems and flood control structures. Additionally, the role will involve evaluating, planning, and designing storm drainage systems, preparing technical reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to develop effective stormwater solutions.
Qualifications
- Expertise in hydraulic and hydrologic analysis and design
- Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills
- Understanding of local and international stormwater management regulations and standards
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer) is an advantage
- Experience in working in a similar role within the region is preferable
