Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive IGCSE Biology and/or Chemistry lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Prepare students effectively for IGCSE examinations through strong teaching strategies, practice assessments, and constructive feedback.
- Develop lesson plans, lab simulations, and resources that bring science concepts to life in an online classroom.
- Foster inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving among students.
- Provide individualized academic support, guidance, and mentorship.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a supportive and innovative teaching environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/Cambridge International Certificate/Diploma in Teaching & Learning) is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience teaching
IGCSE Biology and/or Chemistry
(Cambridge curriculum strongly preferred). - Ability to use digital tools and simulations to replicate lab-based experiences online.
- Strong communication, organization, and online classroom management skills.
