  • Design, implement, and analyze cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and schemes for various applications, including blockchain, secure communication, and data privacy.
  • Develop and optimize cryptographic libraries and software components in languages like C++, Rust, or Go.
  • Conduct research into emerging areas of cryptography, such as zero-knowledge proofs, homomorphic encryption, post-quantum cryptography, and secure multi-party computation.
  • Evaluate and benchmark the performance and security of cryptographic implementations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cryptographic solutions into existing and new products.
  • Write technical documentation, research papers, and present findings to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cryptography and security.
  • Identify and mitigate potential cryptographic vulnerabilities in software and systems.
  • Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patents and publications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest academic research and industry developments in cryptography and cybersecurity.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a specialization in Cryptography.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in applied cryptography and security engineering.
  • Strong theoretical foundation in modern cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and key management.
  • Proficiency in implementing cryptographic primitives and protocols using languages like C++, Rust, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with cryptographic libraries (e.g., OpenSSL, libsodium) and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and common software vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and its reliance on cryptographic principles is highly desirable.
  • Experience with zero-knowledge proofs, lattice-based cryptography, or other advanced cryptographic techniques is a strong plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a remote, international team.
