  • Manage the efficient use of materials and equipment, minimizing waste and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site staff.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, and clients to address site-specific concerns and provide updates.
  • Implement and enforce the site's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) plan.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role on civil construction projects.
  • Proven experience in managing on-site construction activities and crews.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols relevant to civil works.
  • Excellent understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate workers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities and capacity to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in **Kenya**.
  • Must be physically fit and able to work in a demanding outdoor construction environment.
