Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for key raw materials to ensure supply security and cost optimization.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals responsible for raw material sourcing.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with global and local suppliers to achieve significant cost savings.
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and foster strong partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and geopolitical factors affecting raw material supply.
  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials to ensure production continuity while minimizing holding costs.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to identify new materials and ensure alignment with product development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and relevant international regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies for the raw material supply chain.
  • Prepare detailed reports on procurement performance, market analysis, and cost-saving initiatives for senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 4 years in a management role focused on raw materials or commodities.
  • Proven expertise in global sourcing, complex contract negotiation, and achieving substantial cost reductions.
  • Deep understanding of commodity markets and price forecasting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced procurement software.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO).
