Key Responsibilities:
Network Security Architecture: Design, develop, and document comprehensive network security architectures that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
Threat Mitigation & Prevention: Identify, assess, and mitigate network security risks and vulnerabilities. Implement and manage security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network access control (NAC) solutions.
Security Operations: Oversee network security monitoring, analysis of security events, and response to network security incidents.
Technology Evaluation & Implementation: Research, evaluate, and recommend new network security technologies and solutions. Lead the implementation of these technologies.
Policy & Compliance: Contribute to the development and enforcement of network security policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Performance Optimization: Ensure network security solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network security engineers. Act as a subject matter expert within the organization.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with network operations, systems engineering, and other IT teams to ensure integrated security solutions.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in network engineering, with a strong specialization in network security.
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network security architectures.
Expertise in routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network security best practices.
Hands-on experience with network security tools and technologies, including SIEM, packet analysis, and vulnerability management.
Relevant certifications such as CCIE Security, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
