Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a visionary HR Leader to oversee all aspects of the firm's human resources function and talent development. This role is both strategic and operational, ensuring that the HR team delivers high-quality, consistent support to management and staff in alignment with global standards. The HR Director will oversee talent acquisition and retention, organizational development, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, development and implementation of policies, compliance, and workforce planning, fostering an engaged, high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

Develop and implement the HR strategy, aligning with the Firm's business goals and HR policies.

Collaborate with leadership to shape the firm's workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.

Policy & Compliance

Oversee the creation, review, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws and the Firm's global guidelines.

Mitigate people-related risks by staying current with regulatory updates and leading internal audits where required.

Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that minimize risk and support ethical business practices.

Talent Acquisition & Management

Supervise end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring quality hires and an excellent candidate experience.

Lead initiatives in onboarding, performance management, career development, and retention, cultivating a high-performance culture.

Oversee compliance with the use of the Firm's timekeeping and productivity tools.

Engage with the Professional Support team in the delivery of learning programmes.

Employee Relations & Engagement

10.    Develop and manage employee engagement strategies, feedback mechanisms and conflict resolution processes.

11.    Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

12.    Champion engagement programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and well-being initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits packages, in partnership with the partners.

Ensure market benchmarking to attract and retain top talent.

Ensure internal equity, external competitiveness and alignment with the Firm's financial objectives.

HR Team Leadership

Manage, mentor, and develop the HR Officer(s) fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Establish team objectives, track key HR metrics, and drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery.

Organizational Development

Lead initiative to improve organizational effectiveness, change management and workforce planning.

Requirements

·    Have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

·    Be a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or equivalent

·    Be a practising professional member with a relevant professional body;

·    Have a minimum of 7 years of progressive HR and talent experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, preferably within a professional services firm or a multinational environment;

·    Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, HR best practices and strategic planning.

·    Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, communication, multitasking abilities and problem-solving skills

·    Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office suite.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Demonstrated success in securing significant funding from diverse international donors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 15 years of direct experience designing and implementing solution in one or more of the technical areas.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior technical leadership position on international donor-supported programs is
    required
    .
  • Deep technical expertise, demonstrated understanding of technical trends and evidenced based interventions in one or more of the technical areas.
  • Proven ability to convey complex technical ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Familiarity with various donor regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proven experience collaborating with diverse local and international partners in various settings.
  • Strong ability to develop and integrate MERL plan into technical solution.

About The Role
As a Financial Advisory Service Senior Associate, you will deliver financial strategic and operational support to Division Leads, Department Heads and wider leadership to enable them achieve organizational objectives. The strategic support will involve translating Department strategy into financial analysis while operational support will generally involve daily financial management including budgeting and financial reporting. You will be reporting to Head of Finance in Kenya.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consultant for assigned Departments in providing financial advice to support business strategies.
  • Create financial models for new business opportunities that emphasize program profitability and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate annual budgeting process for assigned departments / divisions.
  • Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections & collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to maximize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Work with Department Heads to manage the monthly BVA process.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses through examining current spending, market and financial forecasts, and overall our goals to make recommendations and guide executive decision-making.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of interdependency of cost drivers and interpret for management in monthly management accounts. Prepare monthly management accounts for respective departments (income statement, cashflow, balance sheet)
  • You will evaluate risk and monitor compliance with internal controls

  • Professional accounting certification - CPA / ACCA with knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Experience in financial modelling and proficiency in excel skills. Preferably great with numbers and providing quick analysis.
  • Ability and drive to work independently, with conflicting demands from multiple teams.
  • Experience with process design and implementation.
