This hands-on role is crucial for maintaining the complex electronic systems and components of modern aircraft. You will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of avionics equipment, ensuring the highest standards of safety and airworthiness. - Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics systems and related components.
- Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to perform maintenance tasks accurately.
- Perform line maintenance and hangar maintenance activities on various aircraft types.
- Calibrate and test avionic equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
- Document all maintenance actions, discrepancies, and repairs performed in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during all work activities.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and flight crews to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with the latest avionics technologies and repair techniques.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in Avionics Technology or a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in an aviation maintenance environment.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of avionic systems (e.g., navigation, communication, autopilot, radar).
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with relevant aviation regulations and standards (e.g., EASA, FAA, or local Kenyan Civil Aviation Authority requirements).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in **Eldoret**.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends, as required.
