About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze current supply chain operations to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and service levels.
  • Develop and implement strategies for supply chain optimization, including network design, inventory management, and logistics planning.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to model scenarios, forecast demand, and evaluate the impact of proposed changes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, sales, operations) and external partners to ensure seamless integration and execution of optimization initiatives.
  • Identify and implement best practices in supply chain management to enhance performance and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage projects related to supply chain improvements, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the effectiveness of implemented optimization strategies.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in supply chain management and logistics.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational teams on best practices for supply chain execution.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on optimization, process improvement, and strategic planning.
  • Proven experience in analyzing complex supply chain networks and implementing successful optimization initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and simulation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, specialized SCM software).
  • Excellent understanding of inventory management, demand forecasting, transportation, and warehousing principles.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
  • Experience working with international supply chains is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the logistics landscape in Kenya is advantageous.
