Job Summary:
Our client in the accounting Firm is looking to hire a Junior Accountant who will be tasked with day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports to assess the financial performance of the business, and assisting the business in implementing efficient and diligent financial practices. The finance manager is heavily involved in the day-to-day of the company accounts with the responsibility of making observations of the financial state of the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review reconciliations of bank transactions, petty cash, cheque and credit cardtransactions and approve work from other members of the teamReconcile outstanding Receivables and Payables as well as maintain accruals and prepayment schedules.Run weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.Support other members of the team with their work.Take on complex tasks that require historical amendments to accounting systems.Must be able to handle using multiple cloud accounting applications, including the ability to learn new accounting systems.Perform general office duties as well as other assignments as needed. RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from a reputable university. Masters an added advantageProven experience in managing a bookkeeping team.Minimum of 3 -4 years experience in accounting or a similar role in a busy environment Must be a member of ICPAKFamiliarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures, Bank reconciliations, General entries, PayrollHands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reportsHigh degree of accuracy especially with data entry.Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.Data Entry and Word ProcessingWord processing skills.Proper Organizational skills.Junior Accountant
