Yusudi is actively assisting one of our clients in recruiting a
Human Resources Officer-Operations. Their responsibilities will extend
to implementing essential functional processes, ranging from devising
annual leave plans to crafting a reward strategy aimed at enhancing
employee motivation. Additionally, the HR Officer-Operations will be
tasked with managing staff duty attendance, overseeing occupational
health and safety initiatives, and serving as the central point of
coordination for all departments on HR-related matters.
This role is integral to shaping the overall
output quality of employees by strategically addressing organizational
learning development, resourcing, performance management, and reward
management. The incumbent will operate in strict compliance with HR
policies and other regulatory requirements while reporting directly to
the Human Resource Manager. Their efforts will be critical in ensuring
the seamless daily operations of the HR function and contributing to
the overall success of the organisation
Key Responsibilities:
Operations: (50%)
You will regularly visit the factory to keep abreast with the day-to-day HR needs
You will manage employee leave including Annual leave, Maternity and all other forms of employee leave
You will develop annual leave plans and ensure that no staff has accumulated leave days
You will ensure accurate and timely HR monthly and annual reporting.
You will manages factory security issues daily
You will coordinates all departments on HR-related matters
You will keep up-to-date with changes in labour legislation
Recruitment: (15%)
You will develop annual workforce plans aligned with the budget and ensure resourcing is in line with the plans.
You will ensure optimal staffing for all departments
You will support their recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes, job offers to support current and future organizational goals.
You will draft, issue and manage both permanent and temporary employment contracts
You will plan and onboard new employees into the organization’s culture and values objectives
Organization Learning
Development: (15%)
You will develop induction programme for new employees
You will identify training needs for the department
You will develop a training plan and programme aligned with the business strategy and needs.
You will identify competent trainers in line with requirements and scheduled training
You will ensure all trainings conducted are NITA approved
Performance Management: (10%)
You will assist in leading the implementation of the performance management system based on approved individual performance rating criteria
You will ensure goals; and targets for all staff are set at the beginning of the year
You will ensure that the department is operating within the staff cost-to-income ratio.
Government Regulations: (5%)
You will ensure staff are inducted and understand the relevant Quality Management systems
You will ensure compliance with the Government Gazetted notice.
You will oversee 100% compliance Safety and Environmental compliance and system requirements
You will oversee 100% compliance with National Legislation on Environment, Health and Safety
You will oversee 100% compliance with Labour and Employment related laws
HR Reports &
Metrics: (5%)
You will provide timely and accurate Employee Human Resources Reports (Weekly/Monthly and Annually)

Requirements
About You
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years at the
managerial level having worked preferably in a factory plant.
Must-have:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or any related fields
Higher National Dip in Human Resource Management or related field
You have handled a staff compliment of 400-500
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Deliver results and exceed customer expectation
Strong interpersonal skills
