About the role
Ampersand is looking for a competent and reliable Facilities Maintenance technician to join the Office Management and to assist in ensuring the excellent condition and functionality for Ampersand offices, systems and equipment. The responsibilities include performing all maintenance activities, electrical maintenance, plumbing maintenance, fixing and supervising civil works, office fixes, developing preventive maintenance procedures and other related duties.
The ideal candidate will
be one with a deep understanding of electrical, plumbing standards and
installation with high knowledge of other building systems, including
Air conditioning, maintenance procedures, and coordination
skills.
This role will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee all maintenance undertakings for Ampersand offices and other facilities.
- Conduct maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, civil works and HVAC.
- Perform periodic inspections on Ampersand facilities and equipment (tables, chairs, doors) to identify any issues.
- Daily check on the premises to make sure the premises are safe and secure
- Identify all the repairs required and give advice to management
- Follow up in case there is an issue and provide a solution.
- Prepare material and cost estimates for maintenance activities and ensure compliance with the budget.
- Set up and enforce preventative maintenance procedures to reduce maintenance costs.
- Manage the space and the furniture for Ampersand offices, repair locking systems for doors and windows and enhance cleanness at all facilities.
- Supervise the contractors for the construction works to ensure compliance with standards, quality and building codes.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned and Supporting Facility & charging station teams.
- Provide monthly reports showing the status of the office facility and all the maintenance activities performed during that period.
Minimum requirements
We seek
qualified, hands-on and motivated personnel with deep knowledge and
experience in building systems. You are encouraged to apply if you
meet the following:
- Relevant Diploma or Degree
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, having worked in facilities maintenance, mainly Electrical, plumbing and installations.
- Deep understanding of commercial electrical (3PH) installations standards, plumbing and civil systems.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Managerial and Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work over the weekends or on holidays whenever requested
