  • Conduct remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex aircraft systems, including avionics, hydraulics, and powerplants.
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Develop and implement detailed maintenance plans and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to on-site maintenance crews via remote communication channels.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on maintenance work performed by other teams.
  • Document all maintenance activities, findings, and recommendations accurately in the company's maintenance tracking system.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in aircraft technology and maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturers to address recurring technical problems and suggest design improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, such as EASA, FAA, and local Kenyan civil aviation authority standards.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, with a significant focus on complex aircraft systems.
  • Proven experience with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
  • Strong understanding of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound technical judgments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a remote working environment.
  • Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack) and maintenance databases.
  • Relevant aircraft type ratings and certifications (e.g., B1/B2 license) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones.
