Job Description
Our client, a renowned establishment in the hospitality and tourism sector, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to manage and execute a variety of high-profile events. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with essential on-site presence for event planning and execution. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization and budgeting to vendor management, client liaison, and on-site coordination, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees.
Key responsibilities include developing event concepts and themes, creating detailed event plans, and managing budgets effectively. You will source and negotiate with vendors, including caterers, decorators, entertainment providers, and audiovisual technicians. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision, and translating it into successful events will be paramount. On-site, you will oversee event setup, manage staff and volunteers, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and ensure that events run smoothly and on schedule. Post-event, you will be responsible for debriefing, collecting feedback, and preparing financial reconciliation.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry. A proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, handle complex logistics, and work under pressure is essential. Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong project management capabilities are required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are crucial for liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Experience with event management software is a plus. While much of the planning can be done remotely, flexibility for on-site work in **Naivasha, Nakuru, KE** during critical event phases is a must. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to creating unforgettable experiences in a vibrant sector, offering a balanced approach to work-life integration.
