Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Purchasing Specialist to manage procurement operations and drive cost savings. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain management, negotiation strategies, and vendor relationship management. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services critical to our operations.

- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet organizational needs and optimize costs.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to achieve the best possible terms.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials and supplies.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay informed about market trends.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key suppliers.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and provide solutions.
- Manage and resolve supplier disputes or performance issues.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for the supply chain.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
- Oversee the onboarding and performance management of new suppliers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both remote and office environments.
- CIPS or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving procurement challenges.
- Experience in vendor relationship management.
