Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports Facility Manager to oversee the operations of their state-of-the-art sports complexes. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage operations, strategy, and development from a remote location. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all sports facilities, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest experience. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, overseeing staff, coordinating maintenance and repair schedules, and developing programming to maximize facility utilization. You will also be involved in event planning and execution, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. The ability to develop and implement strategic plans, optimize operational efficiency, and foster a positive work environment is crucial. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required to effectively manage diverse teams and interact with various stakeholders, including athletes, coaches, community members, and governing bodies. We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented individual with a passion for sports and a strong understanding of facility management principles. - Develop and manage operational budgets, including revenue and expenditure forecasting.
- Lead, train, and supervise facility staff, including maintenance crews and front-line personnel.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment and grounds.
- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and security across all facilities.
- Plan, organize, and execute sporting events, tournaments, and community programs.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and external partners.
- Implement and enforce facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Monitor facility utilization and identify opportunities to increase revenue and engagement.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of future facility enhancements.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all users of the facility.
- Proven experience in facility management, preferably in the sports or recreation industry.
- Strong understanding of sports operations, event management, and facility maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent budgeting, financial management, and negotiation abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant facility management software and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in facility management are a plus.
