As a remote-first scientist, you will collaborate seamlessly with a diverse team of biologists, bioinformaticians, statisticians, and clinicians through advanced digital communication and project management platforms. Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret complex genomic variations, including SNPs, indels, structural variants, and copy number alterations.
- Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians and statisticians to ensure robust data analysis and interpretation.
- Contribute to the design of new research studies and grant applications.
- Author high-impact scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in genomics, bioinformatics, and related scientific fields.
- Mentor and provide scientific guidance to junior researchers and laboratory staff.
- Ensure meticulous record-keeping and documentation of all research activities.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies in genomics research.
- Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral research experience in genomics and related areas.
- Demonstrated expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and data analysis platforms.
- Proficiency with bioinformatics tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), and command-line interfaces.
- Strong understanding of statistical principles and their application to genomic data analysis.
- Proven track record of successful research projects, publications, and presentations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple research projects, and meet deadlines.
