Our client, a forward-thinking organization committed to its people, is looking for a highly competent Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist to lead their rewards function. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to manage and develop comprehensive compensation and benefits programs from anywhere in Kenya. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of total rewards strategy, market benchmarking, and regulatory compliance. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and administering competitive compensation structures, including salary grades, incentive plans, and executive compensation. You will also oversee the management of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring they meet employee needs and organizational goals.
This role involves conducting market research and analysis to ensure our client remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining salary structures, performing job evaluations, and advising management on compensation-related matters. Collaboration with HR Business Partners, Finance, and external vendors will be key. The Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist will also play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all compensation and benefits data and processes, including statutory reporting. We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical individual with excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs in alignment with organizational strategy.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
- Design and administer salary structures, incentive plans, and bonus programs.
- Manage job evaluation processes and ensure accurate job grading.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs (health, retirement, life insurance, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations pertaining to compensation and benefits.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to advise management on compensation decisions and strategies.
- Develop communication materials to educate employees about their total rewards package.
- Manage relationships with benefits providers and brokers.
- Analyze compensation and benefits data for trends and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare reports for senior management on compensation and benefits metrics.
- Assist with the annual performance review and salary increase cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation theories, practices, and market trends.
- Experience with designing and administering various incentive and bonus plans.
- Familiarity with employee benefits administration and relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
- Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) are highly desirable.
