Our client is looking for a meticulous and strategic Remote Purchasing Manager to lead their procurement operations. This fully remote position is vital for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential for the company's operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing inventory levels to support business needs efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong analytical skills, and excels at remote collaboration and vendor management.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies and policies to meet organizational needs and cost objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, reliability, and cost standards.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews.
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage inventory levels and work to optimize stock to minimize holding costs while preventing stockouts.
- Analyze market trends and supplier offerings to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., operations, finance) to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
- Utilize purchasing software and systems to manage procurement operations efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the purchasing function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and negotiation.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a remote environment.
- Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
